New Commissioning of Chairs and Table

Bako Youth Development Foundation commissioned  desks and chairs at Nassarawa Community with support from Centre for Integrated Health Program (CIHP) to promote Education for Young Children especially the vulnerable Children.

Present during the commissioning were Executive Director of Bako Youth Development Foundation (BYDEF), Community Leader Representative, SBMC Chairman, SMO Education board Chikun LGA, School Head, PTA Chairman, Other Teachers, Head Boy & Head Girl and Community members.

The Executive Director of BYDEF in his address stated the purpose of the event and further gave a briefing on what BYDEF does at the community level and clearly explained that block grant was funded by CDC through CIHP support. BYDEF is an implementing partner. “Block granting has been of great help to vulnerable children in the Educational System”. He made a point regarding why a child needs educational support, the society needs to support.

The event continued with Goodwill messages, coming from the SBMC chairman, Representative Community Leader, and the SMO. They all expressed their profound gratitude for the intervention from BYDEF, and also identified CIHP, CDC with much appreciation.

The School Head gave a brief history of the school were he mentioned that how the school started in 2007/2008 with two classrooms with an office and a toilet. But today the school has more classrooms that can accommodate over 2000 students. 

The project (Chairs and Tables) was  handed over to the school and the school committee were Executive Director of BYDEF said that he assured them of how this support will make learning comfortable for these children and prays they will grow to impact the society. so henceforth these children will have something to sit and write upon. In his response  The SBMC chairman stated that “this is giving hope to educational system in Nigeria” and assure that the project would be well taking care, utilize and maintain properly by God’s Grace.
