Bako Youth Development Foundation(BYDEF) is a Non for Profit Organization established in 1998 and registered with the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission Reg. No. CAC/IT/NO90680. BYDEF envisions communities fully developed and contributing positively to the development of society and with the mission to develop potentials in communities that can enhance their moral, physical, and economic development as well as commitment to contribute to community life. Our target beneficiaries include Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Widows, and Youths with vulnerabilities. The organization has a seven-member board of trustees, 23 paid staff, 65 volunteers, and 40 community facilitators. BYDEF is currently working with three (3) partners namely; the Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP), Save the Children International (SCI), and Society for Family Health (SFH). BYDEF works to enhance better life of people living and affected by HIV/AIDS, and other health issues in Nigeria. We also build the capacity of vulnerable people for self-reliance through household economic strengthening, Income Generating Activities, and Vocational training initiatives.communities
